PAPER CONVERTORS

W Jacobson was founded in 1946 by Wolfie Jacobson. He began in Bree St, trading mainly in kraft paper and twine. As his business grew, he relocated to Paarden Eiland, where he began converting paper.

In 1979, the company was sold to Messrs Petter Lie & James Gore, who brought their experience in paper from Norway and various African countries. Their main target markets being the textile, packaging and paint industry, they rapidly expanded  by acquiring more converting facilities.

Having run W Jacobson for 30 years, Messrs Lie & Gore decided to retire and sold the company to Messrs Ronnie De Beer & Elton Faber, in May 2009.

Our main industry is converting paper up to 2000mm, and sheeting. We can convert from 20gsm to 400gsm
